For all candidates interested in admission into the Nkumba University Uganda, here is a full list of the Nkumba University Cut Off Points for all Courses like Medicine and Surgery, Law, Engineering, e.t.c. This also contains the Cut Off points for the Screening.

Nkumba University Cut Off Points

Nkumba University is one of the leading private universities in Uganda, offering a wide range of courses to students. The cut off points for each course vary depending on the demand, the number of applicants, and the capacity of the university.

A Cut Off Point is a benchmark in which a student must meet in his/her PUJAB Examination so as to be considered for direct admission by the management of the institution he/she wishes to attend.

 

Nkumba University Cut Off Points 2023/2024

The management of Nkumba University Uganda has not released the official cut off points for 2023/2024 but in the mean time, it is advisable to know the admission requirements and school fees structure at the university while we wait for this information for the management.

Nkumba University Uganda Admission Requirements 2023/2024

Presently, there are three avenues of entry to the University i.e. The Direct Entry Scheme, The Diploma Holders Entry Scheme, and the Mature Age Entry Scheme. These guidelines are in line with National Council for Higher Education (NCHE).

Direct Entry Scheme

At least 5 passes at Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent;

At least 2 principal passes at Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent.

Diploma holders

  1. Hold a Credit or Second-Class Diploma in the relevant field from a recognized institution as determined by the University Senate.
  2. At least a Pass (50%) in Mature Entry Examinations.

Mature age Entry

  1. The applicant should be 25 years of age and above;
  2. Must have passed mature age entry examinations organized by the National Council for Higher Education.

Other

  1. A certificate obtained after 2 years of post UCE study;
  2. Any equivalent qualifications besides UCE and UACE.

 

Applicants for Diploma programmes should hold:

  1. A Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with a minimum of 5 passes obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent.
  2. Uganda Advanced Level Certificate (UACE) with at least one Principal Pass, and 2 subsidiary passes obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent.
    Or 
  3. A certificate obtained after 2 years of post UCE study from a recognized institution;
    Or
  4. Any equivalent Certificate besides UCE and UACE from a recognized institution.

 

Applicants for Certificate programmes should hold:

  1. A Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with a minimum of 5 passes obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent.
  2. A Uganda Advanced Level Certificate (UACE) with at least 3 subsidiary passes obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent;
