South Korea Visa Requirements
There are various requirements for the different types of South Korean visa. However, there are certain requirements that apply to almost all the types of visas. Every visa applicant must have a valid Nigerian passport. Other documents needed for a South Korean visa application include:
- A valid Nigerian passport
- A properly filled and signed South Korea visa application form.
- One Passport-photograph of the applicant.
- Visa Processing fees.
- A prepaid envelope by any major courier service to return passport and original documents.
- Travel health insurance
Depending on the visa type, other supporting documents could include:
- An invitation letter from a South Korean sponsor.
- A letter from applicant’s South Korean employer.
- Leave letter from applicant’s Nigerian employer.
- A proof of provisional admission, issued by the South Korean academic institution.
- Proof of accommodation in South Korea.
- A bank statement for at least a period of 3 months and issued within 14 days.
Visa Types
Single Entry Visa
This visa is for people who intend to enter/visit South Korea once. This visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issue. Single Entry visas can either be long term or short term. Long-term single entry visas are for more than 91 days whereas short-term single entry visas are for less than 90 days.
Double Entry Visa
This visa is for people who intend to visit South Korea twice within the validity period. A double entry visa permits the holders to stay for a maximum of 30 days within 6 months. This visa is valid for 6 months.
Multiple Entry Visa
Multiple Entry Visa is for people who intend to be going in and out of South Korea more than twice. These visas are valid for 1 year.
