Exciting news for prospective students! The 1st batch of the COE Igueben 2024/2025 Admission List has been released.
The College of Education, Igueben is sited on a large piece of land, measuring 1080 metrs and 960 metres. This site first housed the Grade Three Teacher Training College, Igueben. Then it became camp for the Nigerian Army during the Civil war. Later, it accommodated temporarily three teacher training colleges, Auchi, Evereni and Onicha-Olona.
In 1977, with the exit of these thre institutions to their permanent sites, the Bendel State Government establishd the Advanced College, Igueben on the same site. With the academic and infrastructural facilities which the above institutions hace brought to Igueben, it bcame easy for the State Covernment, under the able leadership of Late Prof. Ambrose Alli to decide on Igueben as a the site for the College of Education for Bendel North in August, 1980.
The College of Education, Igueben is therefor lucky to be on its permanent site. The college was, howeveer, closed down in 1984 by the military government and re-opened by the Executive Governor of Edo State, Chief (Dr.) Nosakhare Igbenedion in 2006.
Hon. Friday Itulah, Speaker, Edo State House of Assembly, the Commissioner for Education, Dr. (MRS.) Elizabeth Edomwandagbon, Hon. Fidelis Ogbjiele (member of the Edo State House of Assembly representing Igueben Local Government Constituency who moved the motion for the re-opening of the College), and other members of the Edo State House of Assembly played vital roles in re-opening the College.
Despite the re-opening of the College in 2006, it was faced with a major problem of funding. However, respite came in as the able Commissioner for Higher Education, Hon. Sylveste Ewanehi helped to aquaint the Edo State Government with the financial problems faced by the College since its re-opening in 2006. To further justify his readiness to take education to a higher height in Edo State as a centre of excellence, His Excellency, Senator (Prof.) Oserheimen A. Osunbor (KSC) the Executive Governor of Edo State mad adequate funds available for the infrastructural development and proper take off of the College.
The Management of the College of Education, Igueben, Edo State has released the list of candidates offered admission into the various nce programmes of the college for the academic session.

FIRST BATCH
The under-listed candidates has been offered provisional admission into the various programmes of the College of Education, Igueben for academic session.
All Prospective COE Igueben candidates can access their admission status online via the JAMB CAPS admission status checking portal.
Please Kindly Follow the procedure outlined below:
- Log on to https://jamb.gov.ng/Efacility.aspx.
- Enter to your Jamb profile with your username and password.
- Scroll down then locate and click the ‘Check Admission Status‘ tab.
- Select your Exam year and Enter your registration number in the required columns.
- Finally, click on ‘Check Admission Status‘ to access your COE Igueben admission status.
Successfully admitted are required to either: Accept or Reject Admission Offer via the JAMB CAPS Portal.
NOTE: All successfully admitted candidates are to log on to the college portal via http://www.coeigueben.kademic.net/uportal/cgi/students/prospective/ to to accept admission, Print Acceptance Letter and then proceed to school fees payment.
