Atiku Abubakar won in Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, Kaduna, Gombe, Yobe, Bauchi, Adamawa and Taraba states. He also won in Osun, Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa states.
Mr Peter Obi won in Edo, Cross River, Delta, Lagos, FCT, Plateau, Imo, Ebonyi, Nasarawa, Anambra, Abia and Enugu states.

The Incumbent Candidate
One of the possible winners of the 2023 presidential election in Nigeria is the incumbent candidate. If the incumbent president decides to seek re-election, he has an advantage over other candidates because of the power of incumbency. The incumbent president has the power to use government resources to campaign, and this can give him an edge over other candidates. Also, the incumbent president may have the support of the ruling party, which can make it easier for him to win the election. However, this is not always the case. The incumbent president may face opposition from within his own party, and this can weaken his chances of winning the election. Also, if the incumbent president has not performed well during his tenure, the people of Nigeria may be less likely to vote for him.
The Opposing Candidates
Another possible winner of the 2023 presidential election in Nigeria is the opposing candidate(s). The opposition party can field a strong candidate who has a good track record and can connect with the people of Nigeria. The opposition party can also form an alliance with other opposition parties to increase their chances of winning the election. If the opposing candidate(s) can run a successful campaign and convince the people of Nigeria that he/she is the best candidate for the job, then he/she can emerge as the winner of the 2023 presidential election. However, this is easier said than done. The opposition party may struggle to find a candidate who can match the charisma and popularity of the incumbent candidate. Also, the opposition party may face challenges in securing campaign funds and media coverage.
The Dark Horse Candidate
The dark horse candidate is another possible winner of the 2023 presidential election in Nigeria. The dark horse candidate is someone who is not well known but has the potential to win the election. The dark horse candidate can be an independent candidate or someone from a small political party. If the dark horse candidate can run a successful campaign and gain the trust of the people of Nigeria, then he/she can emerge as the winner of the 2023 presidential election. However, this is highly unlikely. The dark horse candidate may struggle to secure campaign funds and media coverage, which can limit his/her chances of winning the election.

Factors that can influence the outcome of the Winner of the 2023 Presidential Election in Nigeria
There are several factors that can influence the outcome of the 2023 presidential election in Nigeria. These factors include:
Ethnic and religious affiliations
Nigeria is a country with diverse ethnic and religious groups. The candidate who can appeal to the majority of these groups has a higher chance of winning the election. This is because people are more likely to vote for a candidate who they feel represents their interests. However, this can also be a double-edged sword. A candidate who is perceived to be biased towards a particular ethnic or religious group may lose the support of other groups.
Campaign strategies
The campaign strategies used by the candidates can also influence the outcome of the election. The candidate who can run a successful campaign and connect with the people of Nigeria has a higher chance of winning the election. The use of social media, traditional media, and rallies can all play a significant role in the success of a candidate’s campaign. However, this can also be a double-edged sword. A candidate who relies too heavily on social media may alienate older voters who are less likely to use social media.
Economic policies
The state of the economy is another factor that can influence the outcome of the election. The candidate who can present a clear and well-thought-out economic policy that resonates with the people of Nigeria has a higher chance of winning the election. However, this can also be a double-edged sword. A candidate who promises too much may be perceived as unrealistic, while a candidate who promises too little may be perceived as lacking ambition.
Security
The security situation in Nigeria is a significant concern for many Nigerians. The candidate who can present a clear and effective security policy that can address the security challenges in the country has a higher chance of winning the election. However, this can also be a double-edged sword. A candidate who presents a strong security policy may be perceived as authoritarian, while a candidate who presents a weak security policy may be perceived as weak.
Conclusion on the Winner of the 2023 Presidential Election in Nigeria
The 2023 presidential election in Nigeria is a crucial event that will determine the future of the country. The possible winners of the election include the incumbent candidate, the opposing candidate(s), and the dark horse candidate. However, several factors can influence the outcome of the election, including ethnic and religious affiliations, campaign strategies, economic policies, and security. It is important for the people of Nigeria to choose a leader who has the interest of the country at heart and can lead the country towards prosperity and development.
