To open a domiciliary account with GT Bank in Nigeria, the following documents are needed;
Identification Card
This could be your driver’s license, international passport or National Identity card.
Money
You will also need a small amout of money that will be used to activate the account.
Nevertheless, the deposit should not be less than 100 dollars.
Passports
Likewise, you will also need to present 2 recent passports for the exercise.
Referees
When opening a domiciliary account, you will be given two reference forms.
Referees are those individuals that will fill and sign the two reference forms.
However, both referees need to have a current account with GT bank before they can sign.
Utility Bills
Utility bills such as water bills, light bills and telephone bills are needed.
How To Open A Domiciliary Account With GT Bank|The Step by Step Process
The following are the process to be followed in opening a GT Bank domiciliary account.
- Visit any GT bank branch close to you and request to open a domiciliary account with them (Savings)
However, if you already have an account, a form will be given to you to fill.
Likewise, two reference forms will be handed to you to be filled by two referees who have a current account with GT Bank.
Although, a current account holder from any other bank could also do this for you.
- After the forms have been filled and signed by the referees, return to the bank if you have a savings account with them.
Submit the forms alongside with your Id card, utility bills and passports as I have earlier mentioned.
However, if you don’t have a savings account with them, go alongside with N2000 or N5,000 for savings account opening.
Ask to open a savings account and a form will be given to you.
All you have to do is to fill it.
However, when you want to submit, remember to tell the banker that you will like to open a Domiciliary account along side savings account with them.
He/she will give you a Domiciliary account form to fill.
Then fill it and submit the domicilliary account form and savings account form with your ID Cards, utility bills, and two passports.
Make sure the details on both account forms match.
- The banker will ask you some questions about your address, marital status, occupation and the rest.
After which you are going to make payment at the counter.
You Either pay N2,000 or N5,000 or more.
After making the payment, bring the teller back to the banker you were opening a Domiciliary account with.
Once you do that, it will then be filed and you are good to go.
Your GT Bank savings and the domiciliary account will be active in two days.
How To Open A Domicilliary Account With First Bank Nigeria
Here are the requirements for opening a first bank Domicilliary account.
- You need to have a minimum of $100, €100 or £100
- Two independent and Satisfactory Reference
- Two recent passports
- Utility Bill
- Identification Card
Domiciliary Account Opening Process With First Bank
- Stroll to any First bank Branch close to you.
- Head Straight to their customer service desk and request that you want a Domiciliary account.
- You will be asked if you already have a current or savings account with them.
If you don’t, they will open one for you alongside a Domicilliary account.
- After that, you will be given a foreign account Opening form and specimen Signature to complete and sign.
When you are through with this, return it back for submission.
After they have proofread your form and made all necessary corrections, you will be dismissed.
Within 2-3 days i.e 48-72 hours, you will receive an SMS indicating your Domiciliary account has been opened with your number.
How to open a domiciliary account with Access Bank
The fastest bank in terms of alert is Accees Bank. For Access Bank, you will need to like first bank have a minimum of $100 or its same unit of other domiciliary denominations for you to deposit so they can get your account open.
